Framed and Filled shows the relationship between fill and stroke found in software such as Adobe products. The lines of the chair act as the stroke, with the back and seat becoming the fill held within the frame. In certain parts, the fill is transparent, using the Gestalt theory of closure, where the mind completes the form even when parts are missing.

The brown fabric represents the full range of colors available in Adobe software, combined into one.

This chair brings graphic design into physical form by using its visual elements to shape a functional object. To complete the stroke and fill relationship, a cushion will be added, held in place by magnets so the user can remove or replace it as needed, similar to how elements can be adjusted digitally.
